Bowman Goaltending Summer Training Program

Group 1 is at 5:30 pm this is for Pee Wee and Bantam goalies boys wise and U14 and U12 goalies girls wise.

Bowman Goaltending’s High School Junior group is an invite only training program. This program is designed for top end High School and Junior goalies looking to advance to the next level. Our main goal is to move goalies onto Junior and College hockey. This is an individualized program looking to maximize and prepare goaltenders for the next level in their hockey career.

Our High School/ Junior program consists of 18 sessions that run from June 9th - August 21st with two weeks off throughout the summer (July 4th week, last week of July). This includes two skates a week on Monday and Wednesday’s as well as personal video analysis in order to help goaltenders make that jump to the next level. We maintain a low goalie-to-coach ratio to ensure each goaltender is receiving the proper development and coaching out on the ice. All ice times are out of Doug Woog in South St. Paul.

The cost of the program is $1,850

Group 2 is at 6:40 pm for high school, junior and college goalies for boys and high school and college for girls.

Bowman Goaltending’s JR/ College group is designed for goaltenders that are currently playing JR’s or College. This program allows JR goalies to enhance their skills and develop into college hockey players. For the College goaltenders, this program allows these athletes to continue to progress their skill level for their upcoming college season and professional hockey.

Our JR/ College program consists of 18 sessions that run from June 9th - August 21st with two weeks off throughout the summer (July 4th week, last week of July). This includes two skates a week on Monday and Wednesday’s as well as personal video analysis in order to help goaltenders make that jump to the next level. Youth Girls

Bowman Goaltending’s Youth Girls group has been created to help progress the fundamentals of youth goaltenders in the off-season. Our main goal is to work on each technical aspect of the game in order to help build a solid foundation for young goaltenders. This program is designed to help goaltenders learn and sharpen their skill set in order to set them up for success during their season.

Our youth program consists of 20 sessions that run from June 10th - August 28th with two weeks off throughout the summer (July 4th week, last week of July). This includes two skates a week on Tuesdays and Thursday’s as well as video analysis to help young goaltenders understand the “whys” of goaltending. We maintain a low goalie-to-coach ratio to ensure each goaltender is receiving the proper development and coaching out on the ice. All ice times are out of Doug Woog in South St. Paul.

The cost of the program is $2,050

Peewee / Bantam Group

Bowman Goaltending’s Pewee/ Bantam group is designed for high-end goaltenders at the Peewee and Bantam levels. This group helps skilled goaltenders prepare for the next step rather that be Bantam or High School hockey. This program is individualized to each goaltender allowing them to maximize their potential out on the ice.

Our Pewee/ Bantam program consists of 20 sessions that run from June 10th - August 28th with two weeks off throughout the summer (July 4th week, last week of July).  Bowman Goaltending Fall Training Program

Bowman Goaltendings Fall groups have been designed to prepare High School level goaltenders for their upcoming tryouts/ season. Group 1 is open to both High School Boys and Girls. Group 2 is open for High School Boys. This program is individualized to each goaltender allowing them to maximize their potential out on the ice. Our fall program consists of once-a-week training as well as individual video sessions set up with each goaltender throughout the fall. Participation in fall Training is by invitation only, and space is limited. The cost is $600.

 Riley McVeigh

Director of Goaltending Development 

Riley McVeigh was born in Calgary Alberta, Canada. Riley Played high school hockey in Calgary for the Calgary International Hockey Academy in the CSSHL. After high school, Riley went on to play Tier 2 Junior A hockey in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) for the Virden Oil Capitals. After two successful seasons in Virden, Riley entered college hockey where he played one year of NCAA hockey at Stevenson University before transferring to the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire where he would finish out his last 3 years of NCAA college hockey. Riley graduated with a degree in Business Management with an emphasis in entrepreneurship. After the completion of his studies, Riley went on to play one year of minor professional Hockey. Riley moved to Minnesota at the conclusion of the 2022/2023 season and has been training goalies in the Twin City area for the past year. 

Riley is currently the Goaltending Coach for Bethel University (NCAA Div III). He has successfully trained and developed goalies at each level for almost 10 years and helped them progress to reach their goals. He has created a specific and detailed training program to meet the needs of each goaltender to allow them to play at the next level. Riley is well connected at the Junior A level as well as at the NCAA college level. Riley’s goal is not only to develop and create elite level goaltenders, but to set up our athletes for success whether what be in hockey or not.
